ShayKay's March 2020 Book Haul

First March Book Haul: Books-a-Million

I was lucky to go out with two of my best friends at the beginning of March and we went to the bookstore! I was so excited! I haven't been in forever and I really needed to find a book to do a book report on for one of my classes. So two of the books I got today is hopefully something we can do for my book report. They are In the Shadow of Statues by Mitch Landrieu and Democracy by Condolezza Rice. This is my policy class and I hope one of these books will be good enough for my policy class. The Democracy book seems interesting but its a chunker. So we'll see which one my professor picks. They were both on sale so it wasn't too bad. Then the next book I got was something that I actually really wanted and so glad that I got. I've been slowly collecting the Twisted Tales books, so I got Conceal, Don't Feel by Jen Calonita. I loved Calonita growing up and I have so many of her books so I have high hopes for this one!

Book of the Month Haul

For my books this month I already knew which one I wanted for the month! I wanted it so much because of Once Upon a December, so the book I picked this month is The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver. I'm so excited about this book and it looks so cute and fun. I can't wait to jump into it. I've been in such a slump lately. This month I also got an add-on. I really didn't think much about any other book last month because just like this month I already had the book picked out ahead of the selections being out. Even though I shouldn't have gotten a second book this time around I did get the Holdout by Graham Moore. I've heard such good things about this book and I love courtroom dramas so I hope this is as good as it seems.
